Consular Lost or Stolen Passport System

Updated: Jun 14, 2022

The Consular Lost or Stolen Passport System (CLSPS) is a secure, online system that allows U.S. citizens to report a lost or stolen passport and apply for a replacement passport. The system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To use the system, you will need to create an account and then log in with your user ID and password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to enter the required information and submit your application. The entire process takes about 15 minutes, and you will receive your new passport in the mail within 4-6 weeks. In addition to being more convenient than applying for a replacement passport in person, the CLSPS is also more secure, as it uses encryption to protect your personal information.
