Do you need a passport to go to Cabo?

CABO is a travel destination that is becoming increasingly popular with American vacationers. Located on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, CABO boasts beautiful beaches, world-class golf courses, and an abundance of activities for visitors of all ages. While CABO is technically part of Mexico, it is not necessary for American travelers to have a passport in order to visit. Thanks to the US-Mexico border agreement, American citizens can enter CABO without a visa or passport. However, travelers should be sure to bring their identification cards and proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate or naturalization papers. With these documents in hand, vacationers can enjoy all that CABO has to offer without having to worry about passport requirements.
