Regular Book (Standard)

A regular passport book has a blue cover and is issued with either 28 or 52 pages. This type of passport has a validity of 10 years when issued to an applicant age 16 or older, and 5 years when issued to a minor age 15 or younger. The 28-page passport book is the most common option for adult travelers, while the 52-page book is often used by those who travel frequently or who need extra space for visas and entry/exit stamps. When applying for a passport, you will need to provide proof of U.S. citizenship and a valid photo ID, and two passport photos. You can apply for a passport online, by mail, or in person at a local passport office. Once your application is approved, you will receive your passport within 4-6 weeks.
